Gotta love this little guy!

Is this not the cutest little face ever! He looks older than his 6 weeks, but I think its cause he is smiling. It seems to me that he is not getting as chubby as fast as my other two. We don't know how much he weighs, but he still seems so small! He is getting longer as his feet reach the bottom of his pj's now. Janean got him to smile at her several times tonight, so I used my phone to snap a picture. Not to bad.
Above-Matthew took this one today as well. Said Jamison zonked on the couch for about 20 minutes. Below-taken a few days ago. I love these kind of pictures! Just there little faces are so cute! Despite the look of this picture, he has blue eyes for now. Gavin's didn't turn hazel until he was 9 months old, so its yet to be seen if Jamison's will stay blue.
Anyway, I just wanted to share these updated pics of our baby.
And for those who have been wondering about Matthew's job situation.......He got a new job in Pocatello, Idaho. It is with a company called Keller. He actually interviewed with them and got an offer from them when he graduated. Turned them down for the job up here. Kinda eerie! Anyway, they will match his pay and have good benefits. For now, Matthew will commute the 75 miles to work. That is one way. We can't sell our townhouse right now as the market is awful. We could rent, but we are not sure if we want to rent down there or not. We don't know. But, who can complain about a good job in this economy!
As for me, I started back to work today. Matthew hasn't started his new job yet, so he stayed home with the kids today. Said it went pretty good. WIC provided me with an electric breast pump, so I'm able to keep up a good supply for Jamison. Thank goodness for WIC! He takes a bottle well. I've already found sitters for the kids for when Matthew does start work. They are wonderful ladies in my ward. It'll be okay for a while.
So, our future is unknown at this time, but I'm glad Matthew will be working again. It'll be hard at first! Its been so nice having him home part time this past year! We've become so accustomed to him being here. Too bad it can't be like that all of the time.

The blind leading the blind...

Perhaps a more accurate should be the deaf teaching the deaf, or maybe the illiterate teaching the illiterate. The only thing funnier than kids saying words wrong is listening to them teach their younger siblings to say things wrong.

Here's McKinley teaching Gavin how to say umbilical cord.

M: "Gavin, say bell"
G: "Bell"
M: "Now say ikin"
G: "Bellikin"

Oh, good, Gavin's vocabulary will astound his preschool teacher.

Sorry it's been so long!

Apparently I've waited too long to post on our blog. My brother-in-law who is on a mission in Mexico, berated me and my sister-in-law for not keeping up on our blogs. I suppose not much has been going on, so I've not had a real super reason to blog. Tonight, however, Gavin kicked me out of his room, "Get outta here! I'm sleeping!" Sorry dude! So, I have a few minutes to post something.
We've been up skiing a couple of times this season. McKinley is doing the Kelly Kids series lessons. We get them for free as Janean and Matthew are employees. Its like $170 to take these lessons! She'll go up every Saturday in January. They go out 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon. She's in class with 2 or 3 other little girls. She was classified as an advanced beginner! Gavin has also been up, although he only gets lessons with grandma. Today he wanted to ride the lift-so Janean took him up! I rode up with McKinley. Gavin thought that was the most awesome thing ever! Janean just kept him between her skis to get him down the hill again. McKinley just goes off and you have to follow her. Independent little thing she is! She is fun to watch. She has gotten to where she doesn't just shoot down the hill. She actually can control her speed and make nice turns.
Speaking of good skiing-we only get channel 6 on our tv. It's got 3 varieties and one of those is universal sports. Its got all the pre Olympic events. Lindsay Vonn is a very good skier! Even compared to the other pros on the hill-she just looks better, smoother, stronger! Its fun to watch her ski. Just thought you'd like to know.
Here's a few pictures and a long video for your enjoyment. Sorry the video is such poor shooting quality. It was me, and i'm terrible! Plus, McKinley was heading back down to the lift by herself, so I got a little distracted.

Above: our excited little skiers! Note Gavin's scary face. I think he is saying "cheese" with goggles on. Doesn't work well apparently. Who knows why McKinley won't smile. It's her mission in life to aggravate her dad! If my brothers saw this-i'm sure they'd be mortified at my children's mismatch ski outfits. But hey-you can't complain about hand me downs!

Down the bunny hill!
Gavin really likes wearing McKinley's pink helmet and goggles! Silly kid!
Gavin riding the rope tow with Grandma Janean. He thinks it's totally awesome!

Here he is coming down the bunny hill. Janean will let him do this one by himself!
I couldn't get the video to load. I'll try posting it later.
Oh-we do have some good news with Matthew's job, but as we haven't made a decision or informed our family, we'll make all who read this wait and wonder. Sorry!

Christmas and New Years!

As always, when I'm writing, it's mostly pictures with a story behind it. This is no exception. I just like pictures! We had a wonderful Christmas celebration and some fun New Year's activities. Christmas is too much fun with kids! McKinley is old enough now to understand that she gets things! Gavin enjoys unwrapping the presents as well. It was fun to see their faces get all excited. It takes forever to unwrap presents with kids! They get so distracted with one thing that they forget about everything else! It took almost 1/2 hour just to get through the big presents (I'll post pictures)and stockings! The hit of Gavin's Christmas-Mr. Potato Head! He loves it! McKinley's favorite-probably all her little make-up things in her stocking. I know, I know, make-up for a 4 year old!? One of her friends is 11 and she always comes back from her house with make-up on. At least this way I get to choose the colors! After presents, we went to Grandma Janean's and Grandpa Bryant's just in time to talk to Uncle Garrett, Matthew's youngest brother, who is serving a mission in Mexico. It was good to hear from him.
For New Year's, my sister Tammy and her family came up. Breanna and McKinley are 2 years apart, but they love playing together! This picture below is our sledding adventure. At Smith park here in Rexburg, they made this ice slide! You don't even need a sled! The girls loved trying all different riding positions!

Here's Gavin going down the hill! I didn't even know he would go by himself. It's quite the shock watching your 2 year old head down a hill with no one waiting! And he went right over the jump! Good thing he doesn't catch much air! Despite the look on his face, he really is enjoying himself!

This is Mcki's awesome "i'm ready to go sledding" outfit! She has about as much style as her mother!
this is Gavin's pre-sledding outfit. Okay, he really just wanted to be dressed like Tinker bell! No, this is not a joke and it was not our idea, nor his sister's! It was his doing! It is really hilarious to hear him ask where his dress is! He never ceases to make us laugh!
Christmas church shirts. A friend of ours made Gavin's awesome little tie! She also made a onesie with a matching tie on it for Jamison. It's a little big-but I'll post pics when it fits.
I love this pic of my niece, Breanna! cute kid!

Here's me and Jamison. His first sledding experience. Don't worry, I only took him once.
We had him good and bundled!
New Year's Day Christmas tree burn! This was after the big fire died down! 41 trees this year and no wind made for a very big mushroom cloud!

Gavin's totally awesome Truck bookcase! This pic is a little blurry-but you get the idea. I described to Matthew what I wanted for Gavin and he drew up some plans. With the help of his amazing brother, Morgan, this is what they created! If your interested in your own, let me know. I'm not sure how much they would charge-but who cares! This is awesome!
McKinley got a daddy-built stove! It totally looks like the real thing. I made Matthew make this cause nice store bought ones were out of our price range! He had wood left over from Gavin's shelf and with some added scraps from the shop-it turned out perfect! I can't believe these boys! (Yes, we owe Morgan big time for his help!) They are amazing! Gavin plays with the stove more than McKinley does-but at least it is getting used!
One last picture and then I will close. McKinley spilled hot chocolate on her clothes at Janean's. This is the outfit that came out of the spill! Don't ask! Again-my child has my fashion sense! She always makes us smile! Sophie caught this moment on camera. I took it from her blog. Thanks, Sophie for always having your camera! Happy New Year to all who read this! We love you! Sorry we didn't get out any Christmas cards this year!
