Miracles do Happen!

Life has been a little crazy the past few weeks at our home. The starter on my car stopped working, so I (Erica) took to riding my bike to work for a few days. Miracle #1-the weather has been incredibly nice, so while I wear my snow pants while riding my bike, I haven't been cold at all. The pants just keep my scrubs clean! Two days ago while riding my bike home, my phone fell out of my pocket. I thought I just left it at work-but it wasn't there the next morning. I retraced my path with no luck. Miracle #2-a very nice man saw my phone on the railroad tracks. Luckily no train had passed! He picked it up and finding it dead, used his son's battery to find an identifying number. They ended up calling my little sister in Salt Lake, who called my parents, who called my inlaws to get matthew's cell so they could call me! Long story short-I got my phone back in one piece! Miracle #3-my father-in-law, Bryant, who is a genius with cars, was able to fix my starter! I got my car back the same day I found my phone! Last night was a happy night! My sympathy and amazement goes out to all those families who make it work with one car! Have a great day!

Don't expect too much!

I must admit, I mostly wanted this blog so that I could make comments on Morgan and Sophie's blog page. But then I realized that other people might want to see what we are up to also so we could tell them where our page was. We'll see how it works out.

Life is busy for us. Erica started working again the end of December and I've been working at the ski hill all winter in addition to my work at Williams Engineering. I kind of enjoyed it when she was not working all summer. Things have been pretty slow at work with the economy tanking like it did so I've just been working part time at work and then at the ski hill on Wednesday and Saturdays. It's fun to have Erica bring the kids up. McKinley who is 3 1/2 is getting to be a pretty proficient little skier. Just don't let her hear you say that she's little. Gavin who is 1 1/2 has also tried skiing this year with grandma. It was pretty funny to watch him. He was wearing the same size boots and skis as McKinley because that is as small as the rental shop has. We have had great snow this year and it is still good, so if you're in the area, come on up!

I guess that I had better stop there. I wouldn't want to overdo myself on my first time blogging. It's one of those things that you have to work up to I think. Till next time... whenever that may be.
